 The North Country

Known world-wide for the Thousand Islands and the St. Lawrence Seaway, the vast region of
the St. Lawrence Valley and Northern tier area bordering Canada is characterized by diversity of terrain: farmlands, hundreds of clear lakes and rivers, the northern foothills of the Adirondacks, and the mighty St. Lawrence River. This region is also home to hundreds of talented artists and crafters, museums, and shops--and affordable, locally produced artwork and crafts.

Quickly accessibile from Interstates 81 and 87, a short drive from Syracuse, Rochester, the Thruway, and the Adirondacks, the North Country is also a gateway to and from Canadianmetro areas of Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
